You don't look like him, you're right - for starters he's only 12 years old!
Look on the brightside though, as most kids think Harry Potter is pretty cool and nicknames for teachers are usually far, far worse than that (as I'm sure you know).
Here are a few from my own schooldays:
Snivel, Lippy, Bastard Edwards (brilliant, no?), Funky Gibbons, Breath Helliwell, Turkey, Weasel Smith, Bummer Burns, and my personal favourite, Psycho Chicken...
My God that takes me back.
And your department sound like a right bunch of wags.

Quite right, I should be grateful that I'm not called something worse. Although my fear is that maybe I am, and they haven't told me...

garg, why is it that sometimes blogger doesn't let me sign in to comment? sorry, side note...
anyway, must agree, you look nothing like harry potter. nothing.
however, you should probably take it as a compliment, since, although you may think he's a dweeb, apparently many girls think that the fellow who plays potter is 'dreamy'. perhaps it's just your students way of saying you're the 'dreamy' teacher...
