Yeah that was great - although punch-ups just aren't the same as they used to be, mainly because nowadays players will go down in agony at the slightest touch, in an attempt to get the perpetrator sent off. I particularly liked the delayed fall and roll after Figo's 'headbut', especially as the ref was looking the other way, but still managed to book him for it.
You guys will have missed the comedy of Terry Venables and Ruud Gullit being interviewed by Gabby in the ITV studio after the game. Ruud was obvioulsy very dissapointed that Holland had been knocked out, but all of the questions were about England's chances against Portugal, especially since they will have no Deco, and Ronaldo might even be injured as well. Ruud was not amused!
