All Right Here?

Having recently moved from the UK to South East Asia, a lot of people have asked me: "So, what's it like, then?" This is my attempt to answer that question.

Another New Writer

These are ludicrously exciting times in the world of people I know starting blogs. Not only has Jonny started one (see last post), but so has Andy. Like Jonny, Andy has been reading Allrighthere since its inception (I think) and has made many a thoughtful comment. He's an interesting chap and I'm sure his blog will reflect that.

Check it!

hey mike - how are you doing?

I'm always on the lookout for new blogs, so I'll be sure to go check this one out too.

Recovered from inspection and markolepsy yet? Care to make any predictions about the world cup?

oh, and apparently word is that O'Neil is a done deal for the Newcastle job. You heard it here first.

Pressure's on now Mikey! Thanks for your kind comments. When you say 'interesting chap' do you mean 'austere'?

As I mentioned in the opening gambit of my first blog entry, my blog is designed to let the likes of yourself know what's happening back in Bristol. Can't imagine it will ever be as well written and entertaining as yours, especially to people who don't know us.

Having said that I suppose I do have a couple of holidays coming up, including a long weekend in Germany for the opening weekend of the world cup. O.K. so I don't actualy have a ticket for England Paraguay yet (still checking the fifa website every day) but I'm hoping just being in Frankfurt with the England fans will be worth it (throw some chairs at some Germans; get hosed down by one of those water cannon things etc.) Obviously, the game itself will finish 1-1, with a worryingly bad England performance.

Anyway, my point was that my blog will probably be pretty rubbish on the whole, but there may be the odd post to look out for!
